Wherever possible we use produce and herbs from our own garden, eggs from our own hens (foxes willing!) or from John Haxforth, Wood Farm, Braishfield.

Our pork is from our own rare breed herd.  When our own supplies are unavailable we source our products to the highest standard and as locally as possible.

Our beef is prime English and properly aged.

 

RARE BREEDS

The Pork that we serve is from our own herd of rare breed pigs.  Our pigs live a very happy, contented life with room to wallow, root, roam and sleep, living happily together, (pigs do not like to live alone,) but pigs, like people, need their own personal space in which to thrive, our pigs have that.  They have a very well balanced and varied diet, not to mention their favourite beer!!  Rare breed pigs have their own character and in turn produce superb pork with much more natural fat which adds to the outstanding natural flavour of our pork.
